Hello from Boston!

So, although my website content does not yet reflect this, I have relocated to Boston to attend Emerson College, earning my Master's Degree in Theatre Education. I'm having a fantastic time in my classes and exploring all that Boston has to offer in the arts. I've been ushering at the Cutler Majestic Theatre and really enjoying getting to see STOMP several times!

I'm teaching private lessons in the Boston area so if you're looking for singing or acting lessons, please contact me! Also, for all of you Long Island students, I will be home from Tuesday-Sunday of Thanksgiving week and would love to see any of you! An email will be coming out shortly with more details.

Keep checking back for updates--I am lining up an acoustic-rock performance in the Boston area that I will have more details about very soon.

Thanks for reading!
Peace, love, and rock & roll,
Nico

Semi-Hiatus

Into the Woods at the Stage and DramaKids performances are finito, and I have slowly begun to regain my composure from all of the exhaustion!  I'm currently on a semi-hiatus, still teaching private lessons and one more ACT class this weekend, but much less busy than I've been in the last 6 months.
I have been doing a bit more performing, though, which is great news! I played two open mics last week, one at the Cup Coffeehouse in Wantagh, and one at the Irish Cottage in Massapequa, dueting with my friend Neal Petrowski (www.myspace.com/9inchneal).  I'll be playing the Cup again on Wednesday of  this week, 5/27 starting at 8:30ish, and the PodCast Ultra Cool open mic in St. James in the weeks to come.
I'm looking forward to summer theatre camp at The Stage starting July 7th!
Thanks for tuning and in and come back again soon!

Toodles,
Nicole

New Website officially up!

The newer, snazzier, nicolepadden.com has officially arrived!  This has the most up-to-date info regarding all of my activities.  Thanks so much to my awesome web designer Kolleen Shallcross for putting it together!
Coming soon, there will also be some new recordings of the acoustic rock album I've been working on....and perhaps a Beatles cover or two! :-)  So be sure to check back for updates!

Thanks again for stopping by and enjoy the new site!

Really great day!

Today was a really exciting day--my students at ACT did their second professional industry audition, which went well.  It went even better for me.  I served as a reader for a student doing a scene, not thinking anything of it, and the agent said she thought I was fantastic and asked for my headshot and resume!  Who knows where it'll lead, but it certainly was an awesome confidence boost and nice networking opportunity.

It just goes to show you, putting yourself out there can pay off!

My first news update!

Hi everyone!  So glad you've taken a moment to check out my website and my news updates!  This is where I'll list performance dates and other important information.  Currently, I'm incredibly busy preparing for next week's Cabaret performance at The Stage, Into the Woods on May 16-18, Drama Kids performances on May 20th and June 10th, and the final ACT weekends on May 2-3 and 9-10.  I'm incredibly proud of all of my students and the work they've accomplished this year, and am really looking forward to their performances.  Let's just hope I can keep my schedule manageable until it's over!

Thanks for stopping by, and be sure to stop by again!

Peace,
Nicole
